The Story Behind the Store
Long before EOWD became a website, a store, or a growing resource — it was a family mantra. A way of describing how we moved through the world. How we made decisions, adapted plans, communicated without words, and kept going when keeping going was the only option.
I'm Tracy Peterson — founder, autism mama of a nonverbal autistic adult, and a neurodivergent person still figuring out my own place in all of this. Our family's journey has shaped nearly every part of my life: finances, career, health, relationships, daily routines, and long-term planning. Like many families supporting a loved one with different abilities, we've had to learn how to live outside of what the world calls "normal." But here's what I know after all these years: the joy is real, it is earned, and it is worth every bit of the journey.
As caregivers, we become creative problem-solvers by necessity. We listen differently. We communicate differently. We develop a deep understanding of nonverbal expression, sensory needs, and the many unspoken ways a person shows the world who they are. That understanding is what EOWD Autism Living is built on. Every product in this store is chosen with intention — for the neurodivergent individual, the caregiver, the family navigating daily life, and the person who simply needs something that actually works for the way they experience the world.
