Growing Reader Bundle | Sight Words & Digraph Games

Some days, a colorful board invites a closer look; other days, a word card and a row of pressable bubbles are the preferred starting point. The Growing Reader Bundle brings together SquishyLand in Rainbow Reef, The Fidget Game: Sight Words, and The Reading Digraphs Game. Across the three games, learners can explore high-frequency words, letter combinations, syllable types, and word sounds through different hands-on formats.

We carry this at EOWD because a learner’s interests and preferences matter when choosing reading activities. This bundle offers autistic and other neurodivergent learners a choice between a sea-themed board game and card-and-mat activities, rather than a single format for every practice session. Whether choosing for ourselves or supporting someone else, we can select an activity that fits the moment without treating age, grade labels, or spoken responses as a measure of what someone understands.

These games offer optional reading practice and tactile activities; they do not guarantee learning outcomes, treat autism or learning differences, or replace individualized educational or professional support. Adapt communication and assistance to the person, without requiring speech to participate. Follow each game’s manufacturer age and use guidance, supervise according to individual needs, inspect components before use, and keep small cards, pieces, and squishies away from anyone who may mouth or swallow them. Squishies and fidget mats are not chew tools. Stop if an activity causes discomfort or distress.

Let a rainbow reef or a row of colorful bubbles set the scene for your next reading break. Find a game to explore at the learner’s own pace.
