Popplers: Daily Routines & Emotions and Feelings pairs 54 cards with four picture fidget mats in yellow, green, and purple. Its two card packs offer daily-routine words and pictures, emotion words and expressions, and picture patterns to explore through six activities. Choose a card, find the corresponding picture on a mat, and press the bubble, with assistance or adaptations that suit the person.

We carry this at EOWD because access to an activity should not depend on speaking a word or displaying a particular expression. For autistic and other neurodivergent individuals who enjoy picture matching and pressable bubbles, these cards offer a visual, tactile option. Families and educators can offer choices and follow the learner’s interests while respecting that a person’s feelings are their own to communicate, not something we can determine from a face alone.

This set offers optional picture-matching and word-exploration activities; it does not guarantee speech, emotion recognition, attention, motor development, or other learning outcomes, treat any condition, or replace individualized professional support. Illustrated expressions and photographs are activity prompts, not a reliable way to determine another person’s feelings. Accept the person’s own communication and do not require spoken answers, imitation, or eye contact. Follow the supplier’s age guidance of 18 months and older, supervise according to individual needs, inspect cards and mats before use, and keep damaged or loose pieces away from anyone who may mouth or swallow them. Mats are not chew tools. Stop if the activity causes discomfort or distress.
